If I Could Meet Anyone

Alissa D’Arcangelo

If I could meet any person alive or dead, I would meet Muhammed Ali. Not only was he

a phenomenal boxer but he had a remarkable personality. I really admire him for taking a stance

and not fighting in the Vietnam War. Although evading the war had huge consequences, he

ignored them and did what was right. No person should have to fight for a country where they

are not treated equally.

I would want to meet him at a boxing gym and I would love to hear all about his biggest

fights such as “The Rumble in the Jungle” and “The Thrilla in Manilla.” It would also be

fascinating to hear about his conversion to Islam and the reasons behind it. Meeting him would

be fascinating and inspiring.
