Holiday Concert

Who?
The Fifth Grade class and the Second Grade Class, and
along with the band.
What?
This is the holiday concert, there will be music dance
costume and stories.
When?
December 16, 17, 18, at 10:00am and 1 oclock, on each day.
Where?
Our School Gym, by the cafeteria. There will be big Red
sign pointing you in.

Holiday Party
Who?
Our Fifth Grade class.
What?
Our classroom holiday party, we
will have food, drink, party games
and crafts. If you would like to
donate food, please let me know.
We would love the help.
When?
December 19th at 2 o’clock
Where?

Food Basket
Who?
Our Classroom.
What?
We are building a food basket for the holiday for a lower income household at
our school.
When?
All of the food is due, by December 18, so that we can give the food before the
holiday.
Where?
Our classroom will have the box.
How?
The turkey or ham will be donated by the school. Our classroom will be getting
side dishes, and dessert. Every student will volunteer to bring in a food.

Field Trip
Dear Parents,

On April 13, 2020, we are going to go on the Zoo Field Trip. We will be loading the bus at 9:00
o’clock and will hopefully be arriving at 9:15. The plan is to go on a tutor of it, from the
moment we arrive till 1 o’clock. At 1 o’clock, we will be heading to event center where we
will use the table for lunch. At lunch we will get a zoologist giving use a presentation on some
of the animals at the zoo. At 2 o’clock, we will be heading to petting zoo and butterfly
exploration area. Student will get to choose which one they would like to have a closer look
at. Then we will be loading the bus, at 2:40 and will be at school, by 3:00.

● This is the plan, there may be changes for week we have field trips or concerts.
● This may also change if we get behind on material or need a little extra time on a certain material.
● The second recessus is optional, the hope is that we will have it every day. As a fifth grader, we try to
prepare them for Junior High where they will not have the extra break but will have the extra material.

If you ever have a question on what we are doing each day, please just email me at
juliann.journlism@boiseschools.org. I will typically answer the email within 24 hours, unless it
is the weekend, please give me till monday. I am sometimes forgetful to check my email on
the weekend.

Our Founding Fathers’ Fair

Summary

1. Us History 1 and Ap Us History


2. Grade/Level: 10 / 11 grade
3. Objective: Who are our founding father? How did their beliefs affect our constitution and
bill of rights? How does it still affect our today?
5. Time Allotment: 2 weeks

b. Direct Instruction

Everyone gets to parenter up, they will be assigned a founding father together they will
complete assignments. They will make a present on their childhood, education, carriers,
effect on revolutionary wars, effect on consitiontan, political beliefs, effect on current
america and any other interesting effect.

c. Check for Understanding

They will have a week and a half, to do research on their founding father. They will need
to complete a poster and a small presentation on their founding father.

e. Closing

We will have a fair, where they will get to show their knowledge of their founding father.
We as a class, will decide who affect current american the most.
