Tim Urban tells of the chaos that is to have the mind of a procrastinator. When he was in college,

Tim Urban relata del caos que es tener la mente de un procrastinador. Cuando estaba en la
universidad, el bloguero Tim Urban siempre tuvo la intención de iniciar sus tareas con suficiente
anticipación, pero terminaba enredándose para entregar en el último minuto. En su último ciclo,

minutos con la esperanza de encontrar algo nuevo o sumergirse en una espiral de vídeos de YouTube
que puede no terminar nunca.

En realidad, no queremos que sea el Mono quien conduzca nuestro cerebro, pues no conoce ni el
pasado ni el futuro y solo le importan dos cosas: lo fácil y lo divertido. Pero, ¿puede más él que
nuestra mente? Por suerte, existe otro elemento, el Motor de Decisiones Racionales, que sí que
tiene una visión global de nuestra vida y nos recuerda que algunas veces tiene mucho más sentido
hacer cosas más difíciles o menos placenteras por el bien del panorama general. Ahí aparece el
conflicto, que para un experto procrastinador se resuelve siempre del mismo modo: dedicándose al
ocio y a la diversión respirando un aire cargado de culpa, temor, ansiedad y rencor hacia uno mismo.

Para ello decidió escribir esto en su blogger donde un sin número de persona comenzaron escribirle
a su correo electrónico, de diferentes profesiones, la cual se sentían identificado, entonces Tim
Urbam se fijó que hay dos tipos de dilatación, donde los efectos de la procrastinación están
contenidos a corto plazo porque el monstruo de pánico se involucra y el segundo tipo de
dilación que ocurre en situaciones en las que no hay una fecha límite. Es decir, cuando no hay
una preocupación, no hay desesperación en entregar una tarea arduamente, a un plazo de
tiempo.
Para no pasar este tipo de problema, es mejor utilizar un calendario de vida donde podemos ser
más organizado a la hora de presentar arduamente un trabajo que no está costando realizar. Es
