Course Reflection
In the beginning of the semester I was excited to start college, but at the same
time I did not know what to expect. I didn't think I was going to be making websites in a
english class, but I am glad we did. On the first day of englsih 113B, I got to class and
saw a familiar face, which was my friend Daniel. I did not expect to know anyone in
class, but im glad I knew Daniel, because one of the first things we had to do was make
a website and once I was home trying to make the website I encountered a few
problems. Luckily my friend daniel helped me out starting up my website. One of our
first assignments in class was to create a group video project and without trying one of
my group members was Daniel, so I knew I could do good in class. The assignment
project space was something I have never done before or heard of, so it was an
interesting challenge. It was a little different to get used to, but after posting a few blog
posts on my website I got the hang of it. Where I had most trouble during the course of
english 113B was creating a website out of an essay, which in my mind was impossible
because the two things are totally different. However, I soon found out that it is possible.
My first website for the Text to Web remediation project looked more like a couple of
short essays on a few slides than an actual website. Once I made many changes, and
literally remodeled the whole thing, what once was an essay became into a functioning
website that people could go on to and read about the dangers Global Warming causes
without getting bored reading many pages. In general, the course was very complicated
because of me getting used to creating websites, but overall I enjoyed the class very
