Instructions for the invigilators (for the forthcoming UG CBCS 1st , 3rd

& 5th Sem Examinations)

1. Examination duty is mandatory for all Teaching and Non-teaching Staff.
2. Invigilators should report to either the TIC or the Convenor before 30 (Thirty) minutes of
the commencement of exam. They should not leave college before the end of the exam
after fulfilling all the exam related formalities.
3. Invigilators should collect answer scripts and question papers from the TIC’s chamber at
least 10 (Ten) minutes before the commencement of the exam.
4. Respective subject teachers will not be assigned duty in a room where students of that
subject are placed.
5. Respective subject teachers may visit the room where students of that subject are placed
only after 15 (fifteen) minutes of the commencement of the exam for explaining the
questions and clearing doubts and confusions (if any) of the students. After that, subject
teachers may visit that room again if there is an urgent call from the students.
6. No student shall be allowed to use any kind of malpractice in the examination hall. All
Invigilators must be strict in this matter.
7. No student shall be allowed to enter the examination hall with any mobile phone/ smart
phone or any other gadgets that are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Invigilators
must ensure this before the commencement of the exam.
8. Invigilators must keep their mobile phones in either Switch-Off mode or Silent mode
inside the examination hall. They are requested not to attend any call inside the
examination hall.
9. No student will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall after 20 (Twenty) minutes of
the commencement of exam. After that, admission to the examination hall is subject to
the consideration of the TIC only.
10. If any invigilator remains absent from duty, he/she must inform it to the TIC on
Convenor well in advance.
11. Co-operation from all is highly solicited for the smooth conduct of the examination.
