How to find temperature drop along the length of the process pipeline?

In our process, instead of using any heat exchanger, we are planning to cool the process
stream using ambient air by 150 deg C. It would be very helpful if someone can suggest
guideline for the same. The main concentration is on how to calculate the temperature drop
if the process pipe is left bare open in the atmosphere without any insulation.

This is a simple heat transfer problem. You need to know the following information:
1) The heat transfer coefficient inside the pipe.
2) The thermal conductivity of the material used for the pipe.
3) the wall thickness of the pipe.
4) The air heat transfer coefficient outside the pipe.
From the above information calculate the heat flux leaving the pipe outside surface.
From that heat flux, you can calculate the temperature drop across the pipe.
The heat transfer equation can be obtained from the following textbook:
Heat Transfer: a practical approach, second edition by Y. Cengel, McGraw Hill
publisher.
Hope this helps answer your question.
