Explain: A noun can be used to show possessions: a child’s toy.
 A singular possessive noun is formed by adding an apostrophe
and an s.
 A plural possessive noun is formed by adding only an
apostrophe if the plural noun ends in s.
 If the plural noun does not end in s, the possessive is formed by
adding an apostrophe and s.

Review Irregular Plural Nouns and Collective Nouns
Review with students that not all plural nouns are formed by adding
–s, or –es. Have them explain how to recognize collective nouns.
Introduce more Irregular Plural Nouns
 A few plural nouns have the same singular and plural forms.
  A few plural nouns change spellings but do not add –s, or –es.
