 1. - VOORWOORD
Uw aanschaf van het paraffinebad stellen wij zeer op
prijs. Het paraffinebad biedt de mogelijkheid om op
een zeer eenvoudige wijze warmte-therapie toe te
passen.
Bij de ontwikkeling en productie van het paraffinebad
is veel zorg besteed aan betrouwbaarheid, veilig-
heid, gebruiksgemak en duurzaamheid. Om op een
goede en veilige manier het paraffinebad te kunnen
gebruiken, is het belangrijk dat u onderstaande aan-
wijzingen voor het gebruik doorneemt.
2. - INSTALLATIE
1. Controleer of de op het typeplaatje aangegeven
netspanning overeenkomt met de plaatselijke
netspanning.
2. Vul de tank als volgt: kantel het paraffinebad zoals
aangegeven op de afbeelding. Verwijder de dop
van de toevoer en vul de tank met warmteover-
drachtvloeistof (art nr 3448136) tot de vloeistof
zichtbaar wordt in de toevoer.*
3. Vul het bad met de tabletten van de conductieve
warmtedragers (paraffine, Paralingo®, Paraf-
ango® Battaglia). Om de warmtedrager zo snel
mogelijk te laten smelten wordt deze op de bodem
en tegen de randen van het bad gelegd.
4. Sluit het bad aan op een wandcontactdoos met
randaarde. Zet de aan/uit schakelaar in stand 1
en stel de thermostaat op de gewenste tempera-
tuur in. Het indicatie-lampje gaat aan. Zodra de
paraffine de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt heeft
gaat dit lampje weer uit.
Afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid en soort warmtedra-
ger duurt het 1 á 3 uur tot deze geheel gesmolten
is. Controleer voor gebruik de temperatuur van de
warmtedrager met een thermometer.
* = Gebruik geen water, dit kan corrosie veroorza-
ken!
3. - AANWIJZINGEN M.B.T. VEILIGHEID
• Controleer regelmatig het vloeistofniveau

• Het apparaat is tegen oververhitting beveiligd
d.m.v. een thermische beveiliging. Deze bevindt
zich aan de onderzijde van het apparaat achter
een paneel. Om de beveiliging weer in werking
te stellen, eerst de steker uit de wandcontactdoos
trekken, het apparaat ledigen en omdraaien, het
paneel verwijderen (twee schroeven) en de rode
knop indrukken.
• Houdt te allen tijde kinderen weg bij de appara-
tuur.
• Bij onjuist gebruik kan letsel optreden (o.a. door
verbranding). Toezicht van een kundig (para)
medicus is daarom een vereiste.
3.1. Productaansprakelijkheid
In veel landen is inmiddels een wet op de product­
aansprakelijkheid van kracht, waarbij onder meer
geldt dat de fabrikant, 10 jaar nadat een product in
omloop is gebracht, niet meer aansprakelijk gesteld
kan worden voor de gevolgen van eventuele gebre-
ken aan het product.
Voorzover toegestaan door de van toepassing zijnde
wetgeving zullen Enraf-Nonius of zijn leveranciers
of verkopers onder geen enkele omstandigheid
aansprakelijk zijn voor indirecte, uitzonderlijke, inci-
dentele of gevolgschade voortvloeiend uit het gebruik
van, dan wel de onmogelijkheid van het gebruik van
het product, met inbegrip van, maar niet beperkt
tot schade als gevolg van verlies aan goodwill,
werkonderbreking, computerdefecten of -storingen,
of andere commerciële schade of verliezen, zelfs
indien Enraf-Nonius, dan wel zijn leveranciers of
verkopers,
op de hoogte is gesteld van de mogelijkheid van
een dergelijke schade en ongeacht de rechts- of
billijkheidstheorie (contract, onrechtmatige daad
of anderszins) waarop de claim is gebaseerd.
Enraf-Nonius zal op grond van bepalingen van deze
overeenkomst in geen geval aansprakelijk zijn voor
schade die meer bedraagt dan het bedrag dat Enraf-
Nonius voor dit product van u heeft ontvangen en
eventuele vergoedingen voor ondersteuning van het
product die door Enraf-Nonius op grond van een
afzonderlijke ondersteuningsovereenkomst zijn
ontvangen. In geval van dood of lichamelijk letsel
voortvloeiend uit de nalatigheid van Enraf-Nonius
geldt deze beperking niet voorzover de toepasselijke
wetgeving een dergelijke beperking verbiedt.
Enraf-Nonius is niet aansprakelijk voor de gevolgen
van de onjuiste gegevens en adviezen van haar
personeel, dan wel fouten voorkomende in deze
handleiding, en/of ander begeleidend schrijven (met
inbegrip van commerciële documentatie).
De wederpartij (gebruiker of representant van de
gebruiker) is gehouden Enraf-Nonius te vrijwaren
voor alle aanspraken van derden, hoe ook genaamd
en op welke grond dan ook gebaseerd.

 4. - CONTRA-INDICATIES(1)

5. - BEDIENING

 1. - PREFACE
English
We very much appreciate your purchase of the Par-
affin bath. The Paraffin bath offers the possibility to
practice thermotherapy in an easy way.
When developing and producing the Paraffin bath,
much consideration was given to reliability, safety,
user comfort and durability. In order to be able to use
your Paraffin bath safely, it is important that you read
the instructions before use.
2. - INSTALLATION
1. Check that the required supply voltage on the
type plate corresponds with the available mains
supply
2. To fill the tank, put the paraffin bath in a slope po-
sition (see picture). Remove the cover of the the
filler jacket and fill the tank with the heat transfer
liquid (art.nr 3448136) untill the liquid becomes
visible in the jacket.*
3. Fill the bath with the conductive heat carriers
(paraffine, Paralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia).
The best heating is obtained by breaking the
tablets in pieces and placing these pieces against
the side walls of the bath.
4. Connect the unit to an earthed wall socket. Turn
the on/off switch to position I, and turn the ther-
mostat to the desired temperature. The indicator
lamp now lights. When the wax has reached
the preset temperature, the indicator lamp goes
out.
Dependent on the amount of wax in the bath, it will
take 1 to 3 hours before the wax is completely melted.
Before use, it is advised to check the temperature of
the wax with a thermometer.
* = Don't use water as this can cause corrosion!

3. - DIRECTIONS WITH REGARD TO
SAFETY
• Regulary check the transfer liquid level in the
tank.
• The unit is protected against over-heating (boiling
dry) by means of a thermal cut-out. The thermal
cut-out is located behind the bottom panel of the
unit. To re-set the thermal cut-out , disconnect the
heater from the mains, empty the unit and turn it
upside down, remove the panel (2 screws) and
press the red button.
• At all times keep away children from the equip-
ment.
• When the Paraffin bath is not used in the correct
way, injury may occur. Supervision by a knowl-
edgeable (para)medic is therefore obligatory.
3.1. Product Liability
A law on Product Liability has become effective in
many countries. This Product Liability law implies,
amongst other things, that once a period of 10 years
has elapsed after a product has been brought into
circulation, the manufacturer can no longer be held
responsible for possible shortages of the product.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law,
in no event will Enraf-Nonius or its suppliers or resel-
lers be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or
consequential damages arising from the use of or in-
ability to use the product, including, without limitation,
damages for loss of goodwill, work and productivity,
computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other
commercial damages or losses, even if advised of
the possibility thereof, and regardless of the legal or
equitable theory (contract, tort or otherwise) upon
which the claim is based. In any case, Enraf-Nonius’s
entire liability under any provision of this agreement
shall not exceed in the aggregate the sum of the
fees paid for this product and fees for support of the
product received by Enraf-Nonius under a separate
support agreement (if any), with the exception of
death or personal injury caused by the negligence
of Enraf-Nonius to the extent applicable law prohib-
its the limitation of damages in such cases. Enraf-
Nonius can not be held liable for any consequence
resulting from incorrect information provided by it’s
personnel, or errors incorporated in this manual and
/ or other accompanying documentation (including
commercial documentation). The opposing party
(product’s user or it’s representative) shall disclaim
Enraf-Nonius from all claims arising from third par-
ties, whatever nature or whatever relationship to the
opposing party.

 1. - VORWORT
Wir gratulieren Ihnen zu Ihrem neuen Paraffin Bad
von Enraf-Nonius. Das Paraffin Bad bietet Ihnen viele
Möglichkeiten für Thermotherapie.
Bei der Konstruktion und Entwicklung dieser Paraffin
Bad wurde besonderer Wert auf Sicherheit, Komfort
und Lebensdauer gelegt. Für eine optimale und si-
chere Handhabung der Paraffin Bad ist es unbedingt
erforderlich, diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig
zu lesen.
2. - INSTALLATION
1. Überprüfen Sie, ob die Netzspannung auf dem
Typschild mit der örtlichen Netzspannung über-
einstimmt.
2. Tank füllen: das Parraffin Bad schregstellen wie
auf der Abbildung. Dann die Kappe der Zufuhr
entfernen und den Tank füllen bis das �����
Warm-
flüssigkeit (benützen Sie art.nr. 3448136) in der
Zufuhr sichtbar wird.*
3. Bad mit den Wärmeträger füllen (paraffine,
Paralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia). Um den
Wärmeträger so schnell wie möglich schmelzen
zu lassen, wird dieser auf den Boden und gegen
die Ränder des Bades gelegt.
4. Das Bad an einer Steckdoes mit Schutzerde
anschließen. Den An/aus-Schalter in Position I
stellen und den Thermostat auf der gewünschten
Temperatur einstellen. Die Anzeigelampe leuch-
tet. Wenn die eingestellte Temperatur erreicht ist,
löscht diese Lampe wieder.
Je nach der menge Warmeträger dauert es 1 à 3
Stunden bis diese völlig geschmolzen ist. Überprüfen
Sie die Temperatur vor der Bahandlung mit einem
Thermometer.
* = Benutzen Sie kein Wasser weil dieses Korrosion
verursachen kann!
3. - SICHERHEITSANWEISUNGEN

• Das Gerät hat eine Überhitzungs-Schutzvorrich-
tung durch eine thermische Sicherung. Diese
befindet sich auf der unterseite des Geräts, hinter
ein Panel. Um diese Sicherung wieder einzu-
schalten, erst das Gerät vom Netz trennen, ent-
leeren und umdrehen, das Panel entfernen (zwei
Schrauben) und den roten Knopf eindrücken.
• Kinder dürfen nicht beim Paraffin Bad gelassen
werden.
• Die Verantwortung für das Benutzen des Paraffin
Bad liegt bei dem Arzt oder Therapeuten.
3.1 Produkthaftung
In vielen Ländern ist ein Gesetz über die Produkt-
haftung in Kraft. Dieses Gesetz besagt unter an-
derem, daß 10 Jahre nachdem ein Produkt in den
Verkehr gebracht wurde, der Hersteller nicht mehr
für eventuelle Mängel am Produkt haftbar gemacht
werden kann.
Enraf-Nonius bzw. Lieferanten von Enraf-Nonius
oder Verkäufer sind, soweit die zutreffende Gesetz-

 1. - PRÉFACE

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez choisi le bac
chauffant pour paraffine. Le bac chauffant s’offre
la possibilité de pratiquer aisément une thérapie
thermal.
Lors de la réalisation et de la production de le bac
chauffant, nous avons apporté une très grande
attention à la fonctionnalité, la sécurité, le confort
d’utilisation ainsi qu’à la qualité. Pour utiliser votre
bac chauffant en toute sécurité, suivez attentive-
ment les directives de montage et de manipulation
ci-dessous.
2. - INSTALLATION
1. Vérifier si le voltage indiqué sur la plaque de type
correspond à celui du résau locale
2. Pour remplir le réservoir de le liquide: metre le
bain de paraffine en position inclinée (voir figure),
enlever le bouchon du conduit de le liquide et
remplir le réservoir jusqu’à ce que l’eau soit visible
dan la conduit. L'utilisez seulement le le liquide
avec art.nr. 3448136.*
3. Mettre la paraffine dans le bain (paraffine, Pa-
ralingo®, Parafango® Battaglia). Afin de faire
fondre le vecteur thermique le plus rapidement
possible, celui-ci est placé sur le fond et contre
les parois du bain.
4. Brancher le bain à une prise murale reliée à terr/

3. - DIRECTIVES CONCERNANT LA
SÉCURITÉ
• Vérifier régulièrement le niveau de liquide du
réservoir
• L’unité est protégé contre la surchauffage par
moyen d’un disjoncteur auromatique. Celui-ci se
trouve en dessous de l’appareil. Pour le réactiver:
débrancher l’appareil du réseau, vider l’appareil et
le mettre sens dessus dessous, enlever la plaque
(2 vis) et presser le bouton rouge.
• Ne laissez pas les enfants avec Le bac chauffant
sans supervision.
• Quand l’appareil n’est pas correctement utilisé,
le patient peut se blesser. C’est pourquoi les
exercices doivent obligatoirement être supervisés
par un personnel médical compétent.
3.1. Responsabilite du fabricant
Dans beaucoup des pays une loi concernant la
responsabilité du fabricant est entrée en vigueur,
selon laquelle entre autres, le fabricant n’est plus
tenu responsable des dommages consécutifs aux
défauts éventuels d’un produit, après écoulement
d’une période de dix ans suite au lancement du
produit sur le marché.
Pour autant qu’il soit autorisé par la législation en
vigueur, Enraf-Nonius ou ses fournisseurs et ven-
deurs, ne peuvent en aucune cas être tenus pour
responsible des dommages directs, indirects, acci-

5. - CONSEILS DE RÉGLAGE
• Réglez le thermostat sur la température désirée.
Celle-ci dépend du vecteur thermique utilisé : 55
°C pour la paraffine, 60 à 70 °C pour le Para-
lingo®, 60 °C pour le Parafango Battaglia.
• Le bain de paraffine peut être utilisé pour :
• immerger
• arroser
• enduire
• Avant d’appliquer le vecteur thermique, celui-ci
doit d’abord être bien mélangé afin qu’il ait une
chaleur uniforme.
• En cas d’immersion, l’extrémité est immergée 8
à 10 fois et ensuite enveloppée dans une com-
presse d’isolation thermique.
• En cas d’arrosage, le vecteur thermique est
arrosé sur l’extrémité et éventuellement enduit à
l’aide d’un pinceau afin de le répartir uniformé-
ment. L’extrémité est ensuite enveloppée dans
une compresse d’isolation thermique.
• Lorsqu’il est enduit, le vecteur thermique est

appliqué à l’aide d’un pinceau. L’extrémité est
ensuite enveloppée dans une compresse d’iso-
lation thermique.
• Un tissu intermédiaire (par exemple du Parafoil®)
peut être utilisé dans certaines compresses.
• Attention : la plupart des vecteurs thermiques
ont une durée d’utilisation limitée. Il est en outre
hygiénique de remplacer régulièrement le vecteur
thermique. En cas d’utilisation intensive, nous
vous recommandons de le remplacer toutes les
semaines. La durée d’utilisation est indiquée
sur l’emballage/la notice d’utilisation du vecteur
thermique. Informez-vous des règles locales pour
l’enlèvement du vecteur thermique.
6. - CONSEILS D’ENTRETIEN
• Le châssis doit être nettoyé avec une éponge hu-
mide et un détergent domestique (non abrasif)..
• Pour obtenir des pièces de rechange, contactez
votre fournisseur agréé.
• Votre bac chauffant contient des matériaux à
recycler et/ou qui sont dangereux pour l’envi-
ronnement. Lors de la mise au rebut, à la fin
de la durée de fonctionnement, des entreprises
spécialisées peuvent démonter votre bac de
chauffant pour enlever les matériaux dangereux
et récupérables. Ainsi, vous contribuez à la pro-
tection de l’environnement.
Informez-vous des règles locales pour l’enlève-
ment de l’appareillage et des accessoires.

 1. - PREFACIO
Le agradecemos su compra del baño de parafina. El
baño de parafina le offrece la posibilidad de practicar
muy flexiblemente la terapía calor.
Al desarrollar y producir este baño de parafina he-
mos puesto el mayor esmero en la fiabilidad, seguri-
dad, facilidad de usar y durabilidad. Para saber usar
su baño de parafina seguramente, es importante
que Usted lea las instrucciones siguientes antes de
que use su.
2. - INSTALACION
1. Comprobar si el voltaje mencionada en la placa
de tipo corresponde al voltaje de la red
2. Llenar el receptáculo: poner el baño en posición
inclinada (ver figura). Sacar la caperuzza del tubo
de Liquido (art.no. 3448136)*��������������������
. Llenar el receptá-
culo hasta que el aqua se vea en el tubo.
3. Poner la parafina (Paralingo®, Parafango® Batta-
glia) en el baño. Para que el portador térmico se
derrita cuanto antes se coloca sobre el fondo y
los bordes del baño.
4. Conectar el baño a une enchufe de pared con
toma de tierra. Poner el interruptor de conexión
/ desconexión en la posición (I). Ajustar la tem-
peratura deseada. La luz indicatora se enciende.
Cuando la cera ha alcanzoda la temperatura
ajustada, la luz se apaga.
Dependiente de la cantidad, la parafina funde ente-
ramente en 1 a 3 horas. Se recomienda verificar la
temperatura de la cera antes de usarla (utilisar un
termómetro).

3. - INSTRUCCIONES CON RESPECTO

• Comprobar regularmente el nivel del liquido en

por un disyuntor automático. Este se encuerntra
al lado inferior del baño. Para reposicionar el
disyuntor: desconectar el calentador de la red,
poner el aparato el revés, quitar la chapa (dos

• No dejar fuera de observación durante largo
tiempo a niños pequeños
• Si los tratiamento son ejecutados incorrecta-
mente, una lesión puede producirse. Es por
este motivo que la inspección de un paramédico
capacitado es necesario.
3.1. Responsabilidad de producto
En muchos países es vigente ahora una ley de res-
ponsibilidad de productos, que implica entre otros
que el fabricante, después de 10 años después de
emitir un producto, no se puede hacer responsable
por las consecuencias de defectos eventuales del

res serán responsables por cualquier daño indirecto,
