The hose shall consist of a hollow PVC core with laeral opening covered by neoprene valves. The hose shall be applied in 10 to 12 m lengths with entry port and vent ends terminating in junction bboxes. The hose shall permit the option of re-injunction. The hose shall be laid and injected by an approved applicator. B. The joint shall be hydraulically tested to a pressure atleast .0 bar higher than the expected local conditions. Apply a patch of sheet waterproofing and firmly secure with detail tape 3.5 MOLDED-SHEET DRAINAGE PANEL INSTALLATION A. Place and secure molded-sheet drainage panels, with geotextile facing away from wall or deck substrate, according to manufacturer's writen instructions. Use adhesives or other methods that do not penetrate waterproofing, Lap edges and ends of geotextile to maintain continuity, Protect Installed molded-sheet drainage panels during subsequent construction. i. For vertical application, install protection course before installing drainage panels, 3.6 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Engage a site representative qualified by waterproofing membrane manufacturer to inspect substrate conditions, surface preparation, membrane application, flashings, protection, and drainage components, and to furnish daily reports to Engineer. B. Flood Testing: Flond test each deck area for leaks, according to recommendations in ASTM D 5957, after completing waterproofing but before overlying construction is placed. Install temporary containment assemblies, plug or dam drains, and flood with potable water. 4, Flood to an average depth of 6 mm with a minimum depth of 25 mm and not exceeding & depth of 100 mm. Maintain SO mm of clearance from top of sheet lashings. ii, Flood each area for 72 hours iii, After flood testing, repair leaks, repeat flood tests, and make further repairs until ‘waterproofing installation is watertight Engage an independent testing agency acceptable to Engineer, to observe flood testing and examine underside of decks and terminations for evidence of leaks during flood testing. Engage an Independent testing agency to inspect substrate conditions; surface preparation; membrane application, flashings, protection, and drainage components: and to furnish daily reper to Engineer D._ Prepare test and inspection reports. 3.7 PROTECTION, REPAIR AND CLEANING A. Correct deficiencies in or remove waterproofing that does not comply with requirements; repair substrates, reapply waterproofing, and repair sheet flashings E, Clean spillage and soiling from adjacent construction using cleaning agents and procedures recommended by manufacturer of affected construction PART 16~ MISCELLANEOUS 16.3 CEMENTITIOUS GROUT 16.3.1 General Add the following {A grout is regarded as non-shrinkif its volume isnot less than the initial volume after hardening for 28 days, The type of non-shrink grout shall be as specified on the drawing and/or specification. CONTRACTOR shall submit the Manufacturer's data sheets and certificates for approval by NPPSC. 16.3.2 Material # Add the following: ‘The grout shall be fee of chlorides and shall have a pouring consistency. ‘A metal-oxidising ot gypsum-forming non-shrink grout shall nat be used, Two types of commonly used non-shrink grout are as fellows — Cement-based non-shink grout + Cement-based grout shall be applied for grouting of all equipment and structures other than rotating and vibrating machinery. © The minimum compressive strength shall be 60 Nimm2 at 28 days determined by tests, = Epoxy-based non-shrink grout © Bpoxy-based grout shall be applied for grouting of rotating and vibrating machinery, + The minimum compressive strength shall be $0 Nimm? at 28 days determined by tests.
