RDC2- Meeting Agenda

Date: December 2, 2019

The Social Development Committee- RDC2 conducted its 4th Quarter Meeting
on November 28, 2019. Three (3) items on the agenda are worth noting.

1. RDC2 Resolution No. 02-06-2019 (S. 2019) “ENJOINING THE

LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS TO PROVIDE A SEAT FOR
INDIGENOUS PEOPLE MANDATORY REPRESENTATIVE IN
THEIR LOCAL LEGISLATIVE COUNCILS OR THE SANGGUNIAN.”

2. Increasing number of Teenage Pregnancy.

3. Below 50% LGU attendance in the Social Development Committee-

RDC2. LGU option to be an On Call Member or attend SDC meetings
more frequently.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Seriously consider providing a seat/position for Indigenous People

Mandatory Representative in the Sangguniang Panlungsod or the 8th City
Council of Tuguegarao City and constitute an Ad Hoc Committee to work on
it. This is an indicator in the SGLG Evaluation.

2. Discuss the issue of Teenage Pregnancy and how to avert heightening of

the problem in meetings of the Health Board, School Board and SK

meetings. This concern might become or might be included in the SGLG

Evaluation in the future.

3. Decide to opt for On Call Membership or attend more frequently Social

Development Committee Meetings. Designate a permanent representative
to attend meetings.
