Adjectives are words that

modify
a noun or a pronoun. To modify
means to describe, identify or
limit.

Adjectives may be qualitative,


denoting kind, size, shape,
height,
weight or feeling. They may also
be quantitative, indicating
number

Adjectives have three degrees


of
comparison – the positive, the
comparative and the
superlative.

The positive degree is the


simplest form of an adjective. It is
used to describe only one person,
place or thing / one group of
person, places, or thing.
The comparative degree or the –
er form is used to compare two
persons, places, or things.
The superlative degree or the –
est form is used to compare three
or more persons, places or things.
