Construction Reflection

Hailey Roberson
Implementation of feedback:
After receiving feedback on our project, we can modify a few different things. The
feedback given revolved around adding more sound effects and things that enhance the user’s
experience. Also, to add more photos that fit the theme, and remove some “smiley faces” and
“frowning faces” that do not fit our application’s theme and mood. After adding sound effects to
each slide based on what it entails, this project could be improved a lot. If we had more
experience, expertise, and time we could also make it more realistic in order to reach the
application’s full potential, rather than just photos and colors.
2. Learning Reflection:
If I approached this project again, I would make a flow chart that is easier to follow when
actually creating the slideshow portion. We were a little bit thrown off when adding hyperlinks
and intertwining different paths that the user could take. I also would try to add more ways to
live, die, or escape the “House of Horrors!” Adding uniqueness to each slide could help it be
more interesting, instead of using the same layout for each decision page.
3. Alternative Use / Future directions
I’ve never realized that you can hyperlink a slide to go to a different one, I only have
experienced them being used in consecutive order. That could be very helpful in future lesson
plans as an educator, to personalize a program for students to make a decision. Instead of a
horror game, I could also create a simulation game that surrounds the topic that is currently being
taught in class. With further practice and experience, this could be very helpful and be used as an
excellent resource for teachers and students.
