Project Proposal: News boards to provide an information fallback for students

I. Background

The Far Eastern University relies heavily on disseminating information online and through word-of-
mouth. This means that the less diligent, social, and tech-savvy individuals among the student body are
often left out of the information loop. This inefficiency in information dissemination could easily be
addressed if there was a physical reminder stationed near areas where foot traffic is guaranteed to pass
through.

II. Project Objectives

This project aims to address the problem of overreliance on online information dissemination. This
project is also purposed to provide the institutes and their departments more visibility in their efforts to
keep students informed.

III. Steps

Should the project be approved, the committee will perform the following steps:

1. Notify the department heads of each institute about their new duties.

2. Set up the boards in the designated locations included in the documentation.

IV. Materials

- three standing bulletin boards

- personnel from each department assigned to update the board when necessary
