DESCRIPTION
We all have some struggles when it comes to dating, especially in this
generation. There are so many factors that can cause us to fear relationships.
Social media is a huge factor. In this podcast we will be going over some of
the things that we struggle with when in a relationship, and some of the
hardships we face when trying to date in these times. You are not alone
because the struggle is real for everyone.

Does social media truly influence/affect our relationships? Stay tuned to get
some answers!

I believe my podcast would fall under society and culture because I am

discussing dating culture and how society/ social media affects it.

DESCRIPTION OF HOST
In this podcast I will host, but I will have guests to bring some input. I am a young adult who
has dealt with relationships. Some good ones, but most of them bad. I am a young college
student, who just like everyone else, wants a healthy, and working relationship. I have a lot
of opinions on the dating scene of this generation. I hope to use my experiences with my
past relationships to bring some insight on how society, and social media has
influenced/affected them. My friends will put in their two cents too!

ESTIMATED LENGTH OF SHOW

This will be a 15-20 minute podcast. I feel like this is a more laid back type of podcast. We
are just simply speaking on our experience and how we struggle with letting social media
influence our relationships. I figured that this more experienced/opinion based rather than
actual research.

PROPOSED FREQUENCY OF SHOW

My estimated frequency of this show would be once a week. The main topic of my show is
to talk about struggles and what we feel about those struggles. I feel like once a week is a
fair frequency for the genre I chose. It allows for time to bring up topics for discussions,
opinions, and experiences to be shared.

PODCAST FORMAT STRUCTURE

● introduce podcast name
● introduce myself and my guests
● introduce topic
● ask main question and open it up for discussion
● respond personally
● ask scenario based question
● go around and share opinion
● sum it all up
● end with a joke, or saying
● outro music

SCRIPT VS OUTLINE
For this podcast we will just discuss the topic internally. We will have an open discussion
about the questions I introduce to my guests. Whoever would like to share can share so that
it can be more open and not so strict to a plan. I feel this helps make the guests feel free to

share whatever opinion they have respectfully. It makes for a safe zone, and judgement free
zone where you could say what is your mind about the topic. It helps with the flow of the
conversations since there are no restrictions.

My cover image is of a broken heart lollipop. I thought it was a fun way to portray broken
relationships. My topic is about relationships and the struggles of dating in this generation.
