ASU TRIO Upward Bound

Dear ASU TRIO Upward Bound:

I am applying for the university Office Assistant position with the ASU TRIO Upward Bound
program (position #54633BR). I was talking to the director of ASU Upward Bound (Tempe) and
she encouraged me to apply being that I am an ASU Upward Bound alumnus. After further
reviewing the posting for this job on ASU Sun Devil on-campus jobs, I thought it’d be a great
first student on campus job. I am very excited about the prospects of this position and feel that
my education and experience make me a well-qualified candidate.

I am currently a full-time student at Arizona State University (ASU) in Glendale, Arizona. I am

scheduled to graduate in May 2022 with a Bachelors in Sociology. Some previous experience I
have include assisting TRIO Upward Bound (Tempe) with the overnight scholarship lock-in
where I was able to help incoming freshman search for scholarships and answer any questions
they had about college. I’ve also attended many community service events with TRIO Upward
Bound (Tempe) where I was able responsible of overseeing the participants as well as provide
assistance to them as needed.
