Softball

Ever since I put on my first glove

You are the sport that I will forever love

After winter is over you will begin in spring,

And I’ll be looking forward to what the season will bring.

I’ve been to so many fields and not one is the same.

Each coming from a town with a different name.

You continue into the summer for travel ball

Where unlike the spring, the chance of cold weather is very small.

As the years are passing by you are becoming more than just a game,

You are a part of me now and without you life wouldn’t be the same.

I have played you for about 10 years,

And when the the time comes to hang up my cleats I will for sure be in tears.
