Orientation : Crying Freeman is a movie which is adapted from Kazuo Koike and

Ryoichi Ikegami best-selling manga with the same name.

This movie tell us about a young woman named Emu O’Hara became

witnesses in a murder case while she was painting near the cliff. And of

course, because of that she knows the assassin, and his name is Yo, and

when she looked him in the eyes, he shed a tears.

Evaluation : This movie tells about a man, he is an artist, a pottery craftsmn at first,

but then destiny brought him become a freeman, or assassin. The story

begins in the wood and the assassin, shot a few people there, and in the

end of a cliff, there is a young woman, Emu O’Hara, she was painting

there, so she is become witnesses for that, and this is the start when

they are met each other, and Yo introduce himself to Emu. But then he

disappear. Because Emu become witnesses for that case, Yo get orders

to kill Emu, so Yo come to her house, he enter to her bedroom and see

a painting that turn out it is his face when in the cliff that time. When at

night she just came from outside, from detective office, and she just

take a bath she saw that her painting is burned, and when she saw to the

mirror, she saw Yo. From here, they start to love each other. And in the

end Yo is not kill Emu, after that, Emu is went to China and visit a

place, like in a forest of many statue, and there is a cabin, then Yo is

stay there. At that time, Yo started to tell a story about him why he

become assassin. In the end of the film he go with Emu with a

speedboat when it is sunset.

Interpretation : The acting of all the casts is awesome. Then, when shot scene look so

real. I mean, the blood that comes out looks

 like real blood and the hole that made because of the bullet looks so

real too, this make me feel a bit horrified.

Summary : I think this movie is interesting, because it is adaptated by manga.

And from they, the two characters, Yo and Emu, shows us that love

can change everything, love can make you not doing what was

ordered, even though life at its stake. This is shows that how can

love affect Yo.
