Health and Safety Hazards of its activities;
according to Risk Assessment Procedure
a- A hazard register is maintained at each
department/section, and a master list is kept by
the Occupational Health and Safety Department,
these data are kept up to date in case of:

2-Change in activity, or service.
3-Change in legal or other requirements
b- A risk assessment is conducted according to
procedure
c-The hazards that are given a medium-risk level
would need documented operational control;
where as those with a high-risk level need
objectives and programs to reduce the risk level
in addition of control measures. The activities that
have in tolerable hazards must be stopped till
reducing the risk level.
d- Results of risk assessment are important inputs
for determining training needs, responsibilities,
monitoring and measuring. All corrective actions
will also be reviewed through the risk assessment
process before implementation.
Legal and other requirements:
The Occupational Health and Safety Manager is
responsible for:
 Identifying legal and other international
requirements that are applicable to the
Occupational Health and Safety Management
System of the company
Documenting and updating these requirements
according to changes occurring in the existing
laws or requirements.
Objectives
 Safety Manager is responsible for
establishing the objectives, taking the legal
requirements into consideration.

 Departments’ Managers are responsible for
suggesting OH&S objectives taking the
results of risk assessment, technological
options, financial and operational
requirements and views of the interested
parties into consideration.
 Each Department Manager is responsible
to suggest objectives for employees in his
department at all levels.
Occupational Health and Safety Management
Programs
 Each Manager is responsible for establishing
programs for achieving his department’s
objectives.
 All programs are reviewed by the
Occupational Health and Safety Manager and
approved by General Manager (Chairman).
 The Occupational Health and Safety Manager
is responsible for monitoring implementation
of the programs.
 Each Occupational Health and Safety program
includes:
1. Designation of the responsible to achieve
objectives and
2. Means and time frame by which this programs
is to be achieved.
3. When there are changing circumstances such
as changes in technology or services provided,
the corresponding program is amended.
