MOTIVATION:
There will be a four minute video on the different species of sloths. The terminology used in
the video is comprehensible and student friendly.
The students will stand up and physically act out sloth behaviors.
The students will play a sloth board game. It will have questions based on the powerpoint and
the video that they have watched.
PRESENTATION:
The teacher will ask the students to pretend to walk around the classroom like the students are
stuck in peanut butter. After, the students have finished walking around, the teacher will
present a powerpoint about the different species of sloths. After explaining the different
species of sloths, the teacher will create a web on the board. The teacher will ask the students
what they know about the different sloths and will write down their ideas on the web. When
the students have written down their information, the teacher will put the students into groups.
