This assignment shows a tremendous amount of growth.

I didn’t know anything about Interior Design

before taking this class and hadn’t worked with PowerPoint or any photo editing software before. As far
as actual Interior Design I learned things such as: how far apart furniture should be, what to look for in
quality in furniture and flooring, color schemes, types of lighting and electrical, furniture spacing, and
how to look at a problem and come up with a solution that works best for the client.

To put my assignments and presentations together I had to learn how to use PowerPoint which can be
beneficial in many different workplace settings whether it’s Interior Design or not. I also learned how to
edit an image to add text and clean it up to look nicer. This could also be used in the business world for
presentations.

This class was scary to me in the beginning because I had not done very much in school that wasn’t
writing a paper or solving a math problem. This class had more creative elements to me which don’t
come natural to me. At one point I contemplated dropping the class because I wasn’t sure that this class
was something I could do. I decided to stick with it and I’m glad I did. I learned that I could do these
creating things and I liked it. I learned as to what to do for Interior Design, but I also learned more of
what I was capable of and liked.
