1. Find grad f for the given function below at the point (1,3,2).

f(x, y, z) = 5xy + 3yz – 4zx

2. Find the unit normal to the surface   2x3 z  x 2 y 2  xyz  4  0 at the point (2,1,0).
 
3. Find the curl of the vector   2x  y2 ,3z  x2 ,4 y  z 2 at the point (1,2,3).

4. Find the divergence of the vector v  (2x  y 2 ,3z  x 2 ,4 y  z 2 ) at the point (1,2,3).

5. Find the divergence and curl of the vector v  (2x 2  y 2 ,3y 2  x 2 ,4 y  z 2 ) at the

point (3, 2, 1)
6. Find the directional derivative of the function   x 2 y  2xz 2  y 2 z
at the point (1,3,2) in the direction of the vector a = 3i + 2j – k.
