1. In this assignment, you will describe two pictures using the grammatical structures
learned in the module. You can use personal pictures or browse for some alternatives
on the Online Library or in other trustworthy sources on the Internet.
a. Find one picture of a landmark and describe its content using the simple present tense of
the verb to be.

I. Your description must include at least:


a) 2 affirmative sentences
 The Eiffel Tower lights are yellow.
 The Eiffel tower is so tall.
b) 2 negative statements
 The Eiffel tower is not pink.
 The Eiffel tower isn’t small.
c) 2 yes/no questions
 Is that the Eiffel tower?
 Is the sky blue?
d) 2 short answers
 Yes, it is.
 Yes, it is.
b. Find one picture that shows one or more people in a daily routine and describe their actions using
the simple present tense (you must use action verbs to describe the actions).

I. Your description must include at least:


a) 2 affirmative sentences
 They are eating the breakfast.
 The woman is giving cornflake to the girl.
b) 2 negative sentences
 The boy isn’t looking the woman.
 The woman isn’t giving cornflake to the boy.
c) 2 Yes/No questions
 Are they eating?
 The woman is serving milk?
d) 2 short answers
 Yes, they are.
 No, she’s not.
