Cleaning Day Project

I received this cleaning formula years ago from a Luthier. It is a good “end
of the year” project. Make sure you do this where there is a LOT of
ventilation. Make sure your administration is aware of what you plan to do.
Have the students wear gloves and eye protection. Use at your own
discretion and risk. J

• Use rubbing alcohol to clean off rosin from the strings and the fingerboard,
ebony wood.
• For the extra sticky rosin on cello and bass strings, use 0000 steel wool.
