When I Grow Up
When I grow up, I want to graduate from UND with a degree in communications. I want
to smile wide as I cross that stage, diploma in hand. I want to grow close with those around me
and work hard in my classes. I want to find my purpose in life and look for a “big kid” job. I
When I grow up, I want to find a job I enjoy. I want to find a job that brings me
happiness. I want to find a job that helps other people. I want coworkers that I can call friends. I
want to feel as though I never work a day in my life because I love my job that much.
When I grow up, I want to take better care of myself. I want to work out at a fitness
center a few days a week. I want to have a healthier diet and grow stronger. I want to see
improvement and motivate myself to continue to work hard. I want to create a healthier me.
When I grow up, I want to go on an adventure. I want to see new places and try new
things. I want to be daring and spontaneous. I want to be immersed in a new culture and learn
something new. Australia, New Zealand, Greece, and Norway are some places I wish to see. I
want to do something I never would have dreamed of. I want to surprise myself with what I can
who brings out the best in me and loves me for who I am. I want to find someone who will be
there through all the ups and downs of life. I want to find someone I can see forever with.
When I grow up, I want to be a mother. I want at least one son, Christian, and one
daughter, Elise. I want to watch them grow and learn. I want to raise them with their amazing
father. I want to be there for them every step of the way. I want to show them how to be daring
and loving, how to be kind and strong. I want to show them how beautiful the gift of life is.
When I grow up, I want to go on adventures with my family. I want to show them
something new and take them places they’ve never been. I want to show them there’s more to the
world than what is right in front of them. I want to encourage my kids to show the world to their
future kids.
When I grow up, I want to watch my kids get married and become parents. I want to have
close relationships with their future spouses and watch their children grow. I want to have my
grandchildren come for visits to have game nights and fall asleep to our favorite movies. I want
to have traditions with my family for holidays and birthdays. I want to be a part of their life and
When I grow up, I want to go on one last big adventure. I want to be surrounded by my
family and do something I never have gotten to do. Maybe I will go scuba diving or donate to a
charity. Maybe I will see the northern lights. Whatever it is, I want to share it with my family by
my side.
When I grow up, I want to look back on my life with happiness and have no regrets. I
want my family to know how much I love them and how much I’ll miss them. I want to know
that I lived to my potential and made the world a better place. I want to have something that
