Ramsland, Katherine. “I Have a Problem .” CONFESSION OF A SERIAL KILLER: the

Untold Story of Dennis Rader, the Btk Killer, by KATHERINE PH. D. RAMSLAND,

FOREDGE, 2017, p. 164.

This source is helpful in the way that it gives insight to serial killers in general. It is not

necessarily what I need for my research on specifically Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer, but

it is a good source overall.

Williams, D J. “Is Serial Sexual Homicide a Compulsion, Deviant Leisure, or Both?

Revisiting the Case of Ted Bundy.” Leisure Sciences, 2019, pp. 1–19.,

doi:10.1080/01490400.2019.1571967.

This source is most helpful in the sense that I can gather lots of information of Ted Bundy

specifically. It covers psychological topics that I am interested in for that aspect of my

research. It discusses specifically the sexual aspect of serial homicide, which can give

insight to other aspects of Bundy’s life.

Mitchell, Heather, and Michael G. Aamodt. “The Incidence of Childhood Abuse in Serial

Killer .” Microsoft Word, 2005,

maamodt.asp.radford.edu/Research%20-%20Forensic/2005%2020-1-Mitchell-40-47.pdf.
This source is pinpointing my specific interest in the connection between childhood

experiences/abuse and serial killers. It is a valid source because of its credentials. It comes

from a University, therefore it can be used for accurate research.

Davies, Nicola. “From Abused Child to Serial Killer: Investigating Nature vs Nurture in

Methods of Murder.” Psychiatry Advisor, 28 Jan. 2019,

www.psychiatryadvisor.com/home/topics/violence-and-aggression/from-abused-child-to-se

rial-killer-investigating-nature-vs-nurture-in-methods-of-murder/.

This source is not necessarily an opposition my research proposal, however, it does

highlight certain points like the fact that not all abused children will become serial killers.

Websites are not always the best source for research, but the author of this specific work

has adequate credentials.

Sharma, Meher, "The Development of Serial Killers: A Grounded Theory Study" (2018).

Masters Theses. 3720. https://thekeep.eiu.edu/theses/3720

This source is very qualified in the way that immense time and experimentation went into

making the information valid. The source goes into depth on the development of serial

killers, which is my main focus in my research.
