The Correlation of Quick of Blood and Haemodialysis Adequacy for

Haemodialysis Patient at Aulia Hospital Pekanbaru

ABSTRACT

During haemodialysis, blood is transferred from patient into a blood circuit. The
adjustment of blood stream is regulated by a blood pump as quick of blood/Qb. The
aim of this study was to determine the correlation of quick of blood and
haemodialysis adequacy for haemodialysis patient at Aulia Hospital Pekanbaru.
This study is quantitative with correlation design using cross sectional approach.
The study was conducted on 30 respondents in Aulia Hospital taken with purposive
sampling technique. The results showed that the average age of respondents was
51,3 years and majority were male as many as 22 people (73,3%). Based on the
results of the product moment correlation test, it was found that p value = 0,043
(<0,05) means that there is a relation between quick of blood and haemodialysis
adequacy for haemodialysis patient. Vascular access compliance, body weight,
intradial complications, and catheter lumen size can be used as guidelines in Qb
regulation. Nurses need to pay attention to these Qb regulatory guidelines to achieve
optimal haemodialysis adequacy.
