IEO Syllabus – Section 2 (Reading)

In order to score well in Section 2 (Reading), you need to have the ability to
search for and retrieve information from various text types like News headli nes,
Brochures, Formal and Informal letters, Itinerary etc. You should also have the
ability to acquire a broad understanding of and look for specific information in
Short narratives, Time-tables, News stories, Diary entry, Poster making, Messages
etc.

IEO Syllabus – Section 3 (Spoken and Written Expression)

This section requires you to have the ability to understand situation -based
variations in functions like agreement and disagreement, Requests, Refusals,
Apologies etc and also distinguish differences in the use of conjunctions.

IEO Syllabus – Section 4 (Achievers Section)

This section comprises Higher Order Thinking Questions and the syllabus of this
section is as per sections 1, 2, and 3.
