According to a study by Christopher Ingraham in September 2015, average salary of an Ivey league

graduate is around $70000 per year after around 10-12 years of graduation.

“The median annual earnings for an Ivy League graduate 10 years after starting amount to
well over $70,000 a year. For graduates of all other schools, the median is around $34,000.
But things get really interesting at the top end of the income spectrum. The top 10 percent of
Ivy League grads are earning $200,000 or more ten years after starting school. The top
earners of other schools, on the other hand, are making just a hair under $70,000. “

Hence, recruiting the lady candidate would be very costly for the company (if we take the above study
into the context). Because the lady already has 3 years of work experience which makes her eligible to
ask for a salary anything above $70000.

So the best choice would be recruiting the male candidate because they are also graduates from
reputed institute of India; it’s just that they don’t have any work experience. Hence recruiting the best
of the male employee would be the best decision.
