ANTEC... greater proximity for increased safety
With more than 20 years’ experience in fall protection equipment, Antec enables you to benefit
from Sperian Protection's strengths as world leader in PPE (cost optimisation, quality develop-
ment, R&D, etc.) whilst simultaneously offering a local service. This is made possible thanks to a
commercial and marketing team that is totally dedicated to you.
This dedication translates into delivery of personalized training courses, customised product
design, advice and individual studies.
Exhaustive solutions
The implementation of safe conditions, aimed at saving lives is made possible by the exhaustive
nature of our offer in fall arrest equipment - we do not merely provide systems but a complete
solution including training, advice and reports, as well as equipment inspection.
Innovative solutions
The solutions developed by Antec are the fruit of close collaboration between our engineers and
users specialized in differents activities : electricity, industry, telecommunication, etc. This has
enabled us to propose design innovative products to improve efficiency (Quicklock, shock absor-
ber, 180° rotating belt harness, lifelines, etc.).

These 2 parameters (Fall Factor and Fall Clearance) will determine the Recommendation:

As the example below shows, Fall clearance can be significant even
using a retractable as a fall arrest system at factor 0, if the operator is
not positioned directly below the retractable, but offset to the right or left.
The calculation of Fall clearance should take into account not only the
Fall factor but also the lateral distance of the user from the anchorage
point.

The ‘‘Pivoting’’ suspension ring provides additional lateral mobility! The practical large side D-rings
can be folded down.
• With its raised leg straps, the body weight is distributed to three different points: the thighs,
buttocks and back. Therefore, there is no direct compression point (tourniquet) for a comfortable,
practical and long-lasting position.
• The shoulders are ‘‘U-shaped’’ to prevent any rubbing or shearing
of the straps on the neck.
• Chest strap for an easier ascent with the help of a front

tightly against the chest for the ascent.

Rope grabs are mainly designed to secure the user during ascent and descent.
They can be used on vertical and inclined surfaces.
The user is directly connected to the rope grab and moves easily and freely along
the rope without any risk.
In the case of a fall, the rope grab immediately locks and stops the fall.
Grabs can be used when the space clearance is very low since the fall arrest
is almost immediate.
