2.1 Introduction

• Yashwant Dugdha Prakriya Limited is located in Shirala District Sangli, Western Maharashtra. It
is a public limited Company registered under the Indian Company Act. 1956 and started its
operations in the year 2008. This prosperous belt is famous for its sugar factories. Farmers in the
region are economically well setteled due to fertile land, good irrigation, and helpful climate
conditions.

• Founder, Director Mr. Shivajirao Yashwantrao Naik (M.L.A.) realized the potential of the milk
availability in this region. He decided to start a diary to support all the farmers in the close by
region and improve their economic, social and educational level. The whole idea to start
Yashwant Milk was to provide a ready market to milk producer in the region through selling milk
and milk products in the urban market which has a huge demand of milk and milk products.

• Yashwant Dugdha Prakriya Limited began milk handling capacity with just 25,000 liters per day
and within a span of four years today Yashwant Milk is successfully handling 2,00,000 liters per
day. Yashwant Milk grew from strength to strength thanks to the inspired leadership of Mr.
Shivajirao Yashwantrao Naik, the founder Director and the committed professionalism of Mr.
Satyajit Shivajirao Naik, Managing Director, who was entrusted the task of running the dairy
since 2008.

named Yashwant Cattle feed. Experienced nutritionists help in formulating this cattle feed through
which we seek to enrich the lives of farmers who raise cattle. We produce the best quality cattle feeds
available in the market. It enhances the fat and SNF (nonfat solids) in milk. Yashwant cattle feed is rich in
protein, minerals and probiotics. It is easily digestible and prevents acidosis. It gradually increases milk
yield without causing stress to the cow and buffalo.

from the production line to the consumers. The physical distribution considers many sales
distribution channels, such as wholesale and retail, and includes critical decision areas like
customer service, inventory, materials, packaging, order processing, and transportation and
logistics. You often will hear these processes be referred to as distribution, which is used to
describe the marketing and movement of products.
