ा लफाइंग’ कृ￸त के दोन प 300-300 अंक के होते ह। भारतीय भाषा म यूनतम अहता अंक 25% (75)
तथा अं ेज़ी म भी यूनतम अहता अंक 25% (75) िनधा रत िकये गए ह।
मु य परी ा के प अं ेज़ी और हदी दोन भाषाओं म साथ-साथ का￱शत िकये जाते ह, पर उ मीदवार को
संिवधान क आठव अनुसूची म शािमल 22 भाषाओं म से िकसी म भी उ र देने क छूट होती है। वे ￭सिवल सेवा
परी ा के फॉम म मु य परी ा हेतु ￭जस भाषा को अपने मा यम के तौर पर अंिकत करते ह, उ ह मु य परी ा के सभी
प के उ र उसी भाषा म लखने होते ह। केवल सािह य के िवषय म यह छूट है िक उ मीदवार उसी भाषा क
लिप म उ र लखता है, चाहे उसका मा यम वह भाषा न हो। उदाहरण के लये, अं ेज़ी मा यम का उ मीदवार अगर
वैक पक िवषय के प म हदी सािह य का चयन करता है तो उसके उ र वह देवनागरी लिप म लखेगा। शेष मामल
म, इसक अनुम￸त नह है िक उ मीदवार अलग-अलग प के उ र अलग-अलग भाषाओं म दे (हालाँिक कुछ रा य
के लोक सेवा आयोग ने ऐसी अनुम￸त दी हुई है)।

उ मीदवार को एक िविन द िवषय पर िनबंध लखना होगा| िवषय के िवक प िदये जायगे| उनसे आशा क जाती है िक अपने
