 Kerari Lake Trek is one of the best options for all the beginner out there.

Located at the Elevation of 2950 Metre (i.e. 9650 Ft). it’s a perfect get-way
weekend to be around beautiful flora and fauna.
 The panoramic view is surrounded by mountain, alpine trees, snow melting
from the Dhauladhar Range serve as the source of the lake and stream. The
Trek is full of scenic alpine trees, shepherd villages that have a charm of their
own. The trial to Kerari lake will definitely interest you, if you are a bird Lover.
forest here are the mix of Pines and shrubs, making it a serenely perfect hiding
spot for some the exclusive birds around.
 The next half of the trail is rocky grassland patch along with Nyund nallah,
huge variety of terrains on the Trek, ranging from river crossing to steep
ascent.
 The other attractions are the Lord Shiva and Shakti Temple at the peak
overlooking the lake and that worth going for.

Trip Highlights
Day 0 : Delhi to Dharmshala Overnight Drive (470KM, 10hrs).
• Assemble at ISBT Kashmiri gate bus station to board the 2*2 AC Volvo Bus
for an overnight journey to Dharmshala (Himachal Pradesh).

Day 1 : Dharamshala to Liyoti via Kareri Village


• Board Traveller/Jeep from Dharamshala Bus stand at 10:00 am. Post
breakfast at the local dabba’s will drive to Kerari Village (2 hours, 25km).
• Hot lunch will be given at camp site & packed snacks for the up trek, Kareri
Village to Liyoti Trek (6KM, 4 -5 Hours)
• Hot tea and biscuit in the evening and day ends with much needed warm
dinner.
• Water points: - Many springs and mesmerizing waterfall along the trail
• Trail Type:- Mixed forest of Pine, Deodar and Broadleaf
• Difficulty Level:- Mostly ascent, steep ascent in some parts
• Stay in Tents

Detailed Itinerary (Day 0 & 1)


Day 2 : Liyoti to Kareri Lake Trek ( Altitude 8,000ft/2,450m to 9,650ft/2,950m)

 Trek up from Liyoti to Kareri lake (7Km, 4-5 hours), Journey starts post breakfast.
We will come across many water points as the Trek goes along the river.
 you would be catered by a hard-earned meal post trek at the lake side
 The post lunch hours are full of surprise elements from our BMILITARYFIT team, with
fun and burn activities, our innovative games and team building strategies are a
must to be cherish about
 Trail Type:- Grass meadows, boulders with scenic beauty
 Difficulty level:- Gradual to easy ascent
 Staying barrack style, spending a night in Kareri lake camp site while gazing the
stars and dreaming with them
 Ending of the day, would be a party night. Celebrating our trek with music, snacks
munchies and drinks, preceded by a delicious dinner waiting for us after a long day

Detailed Itinerary (Day 2)


Day 3: Kareri Lake to Kareri Village and Drive to Dharmshala (Altitude
9,650ft/2,950m to 5,900ft/1,800m)

 Post morning breakfast, get ready to decent all the way down to Kareri Village.
Trek down from Kareri lake to Kareri village is 13km (5 -6 hours), mostly
descent, steep descent in some part.
 Spellbinding water points (as the trek is along with the river)
 Post fresh and warm lunch at Kerari Village drive to Dharmshala via traveller (2
hours, 25km).
 Reach Dharmshala at 5:30pm, then you can explore Dharmshala and its
nearby places and start our return Journey to home at 7:30 pm.
 Board 2*2 Volvo, AC Bus from Dharmshala to Delhi and we will reach Delhi
next day by 5:30am at ISBT Kashmiri gate.
