Universal Design for Learning (UDL): This tool provides students with a great resource to use for a multitude
of things. It can be great for designing mind maps, brainstorming, or making webs. It is supportive of students
with auditory issues as there is nothing auditory about it.
Lesson idea implementation: I will open up this lesson by sharing a video on the seasons. After, I will
introduce our laptop time. I will show students Bubbl.us and my example. I will have students create their
own web of the seasons. Their webs will have to include research that they do individually. When they’re
done, I will split them into small groups and have them share their findings with their friends
Reflective Practice: This lesson will be effective in teaching students about independent research as well as
organizing thoughts. To extend I could have students use Bubbl.us to organize their thoughts before writing a
paper.
