PTE or Pearson Test of English is a computer-based
English language test. PTE Academic (PTE-A) was
introduced in 2009 as a part of Pearson Language
Tests, a unit of Pearson PLC. The unit also includes
PTE General and PTE Young Learners. These tests
are QCA accredited and managed in association with
Edexcel. The Graduate Management Admission
Council (GMAC) endorses PTE.
PTE-A is for the non-native English speaking
candidates wishing to study abroad or immigrate
overseas for work or PR purpose. PTE is accepted
worldwide by leading institutions and also the
Australian government for visa applications. The
scoring is done on a standardised numeric scale
from 10 to 90 which is aligned with the levels
specified in the Common European Framework of
Reference for Languages (CEF of CEFR).+ O

PTE Academic has two types of scoring —correct or incorrect and partial credit.
Correct/Incorrect Partial Credit
Some of the items are given with either The partial credit is given to the items
