To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to recommend Lauren Barthelme. I met Lauren as a student in
my junior English class. She is an intelligent, compassionate, and self-motivated young
lady who will succeed in whatever path she chooses to follow.
Always challenging herself to do her best, Lauren works diligently to perform well on all
assignments. She is well-organized, goal-oriented, prompt, and reliable. These
characteristics make her an excellent student.
In addition to academics, Lauren displays strong leadership skills through her activities.
She is on the school dance team where she works hard to be a team player. I have
seen her display thoughtfulness and caring for her fellow dancers. She is willing to help
others who are struggling with timing, or even personal issues. She is also involved in
Students Against Destructive Decisions and National Honor Society.
Beyond that, Lauren is a compassionate person. This is evidenced by the fact that she
chooses to give of her time to help others. For instance, she tutors students who are
struggling and volunteers at Wesley Medical Center. She also works as a nursing
assistant in a Senior Center.
For all of these reasons, Lauren will be a positive addition to any group in which she
becomes a member. I strongly recommend Lauren for a position in your organization.
