Students will be able to know that animals are part of a food chain.

Link to prior learning: Students will need to be familiar with the animal’s habitat, and what the need to
live.

Resources & Time: Starter (10 minutes)

In the begging of lesson teacher will review what they learn last class,
Let’s review what we know. Teacher will ask following quotations.
Video • What is a habitat?
• Do all animals live in the same habitat?
Key words
• Do you know Some habitat?
PPT • Can we but camel in the forest? Why not?
Then start our lesson, today we will look at food chains,

What do animals need to survive?


Why do animals need other animals?
Techer will ask these questions to see what they know about a food chain. then I
introduce the food chain video.

I inform the students that the sun is the starting point for all food chains
Plants use the source of energy from the sunlight for the process. And all living
things need energy to live. Some animals take energy from plants and some of them
take energy from other animals.

Then teacher will put up PPT with food chain. From the PPT students will know
which animals the Predator and Prey and new vocabulary.

Resources & Time Main activities (30 minutes)

Center 1: high In this group, students will make their own food chain. The teacher will give the
animals and plant pictures they have to make a food chain, and write animals eat by
. for example they will make food chains start with a plant than, giraffe eaten by
lion. giraffe is Herbivores, because he eats plants only.

Centre 2: middle In this group, students will use animals’ pictures and stick, they have to create their
own food chain with these pictures. Teacher will make arrow on the stick so
students will know from were start. They will make large group of animals.

Center3: Low In this group, will make easy food chain. Teacher will give them food chain created
from three or four picture, they have to color the picture and glue it and paste it on
the cup. After that they have to organize the cups which picture is first and which is
second .For example sun , plant , giraffe .
Resources Plenary (5 minutes)

Exit Ticket،in the end teacher will give exit ticket to each student. In the ticket
teacher write one question, students have to number the picture to make food
chain.
