Description: This app lesson will develop Kindergarten students’ math skills and
knowledge of the numbers 1-100.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to...

• Count to 100 from any number less than 100.

• Express the difference between counting by ones and counting by tens.
• Recall any number between 1-100.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will go to Whiteboard: Smart &

Easy app on their Android tablet and draw the number that I call out to them in class.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will find the YouTube app on their
Android tablet and type in the words: 1-100 song. Then they can pick a song of their
choosing to listen to.

Step 3 Creation-Based (Learning Artifact) or Skill-Based App (Screenshot of
Progress): Students will access the 123 Numbers & Counting Montessori, Preschool
kids’ app, then they will practice their memory of the numbers by playing the flashcard
game.

Step 4 Creation -Based App: Students will create a collection of Snapchat pictures that

demonstrate their understanding of each number 1-10. The pictures must include an

object that represents each number that can be found in the classroom. For example, for

the number 1 there could be one pencil in the camera. For the number 2 there could be

two bookbags, and so on and so forth. This will allow the students to get familiar with

the camera on the Android tablet. It will also help students associate numbers with a

visual representation of that number.
