Grade Level: 10th Grade Subject: History

Lesson Aim/Objective: Educate students about the early years of

Abraham Lincoln. Also educate students on all of Abraham Lincolns
adult life and about his presidential election.

Materials: No materials will be needed.

Common Core Standards: Identify and help clarify facts about

Abraham Lincoln.

Motivation: To educate students about all the interesting facts about

Abraham Lincoln, to have fun while learning about history. Also learning
about one of the greatest presidents we have ever have.

Instruction/Procedure:

Lecture students about the early years of Abraham Lincoln and to see
what they may know already.

Assessment Activity:

Ask students what facts they know about Abraham Lincoln.

Follow Up:

Ask students what they learned that they may not have known and see
what they thought was the most interesting fact about Abraham
Lincoln.
