Mucoceles are benign lesions found on the paranasal sinuses and develop slowly

and gradually. The majority of Mucoceles occur at the age of 40 to 60 years. The location of
the lesions most often from mucoceles in the frontal sinus (60-65%), ethmoid sinus (20-
25%), maxillary sinus (10%) and sphenoid sinus (1-2%). With the development of surgical
instruments and better understanding of the pathophysiology, the management of surgery on
mucoceles becomes minimally invasive. Mucoceles diagnosis is based on history, physical
examination and radiological features. One case of left frontal sinus mucoceles was reported,
with unilateral orbital complications at Moh.Hoesin Hospital in Palembang. 33-year-old
woman, came with complaints of headaches and prominent eyes and was pushed by a lump in
the left eye. Complaints are accompanied by stuffy nose, runny nose, olfactory disorders and
sneezing. On radiological diagnostic examination with Tomography the paranasal sinus
computer found mucoceles in the left frontal sinus and left nasal septum deviation. Mass
resection is performed with an endoscopic sinus surgery approach. There were no signs and
symptoms of recurrence after 2 months post surgery. Mucoceles management is surgery, and
the surgical approach depends on the size, location and extent of mucoceles. Previous
external surgical approaches were the main management of mucoceles, but the endoscopic
sinus approach proved safe, effective and successful in mucoceles drainage with lower
morbidity, recurrence and complications
