My daughter is tortured almost every second that she is in that school, and now she’ll be tortured just
walking around it? You, sir, are a coward. You’re afraid of upsetting the hockey players if you demand
that they remove and stop posting those pictures. I knew that the hockey board wouldn’t listen, but I
thought that you might actually care about my daughter’s wellbeing. I guess I was wrong. We will not be
keeping in touch.

Mrs. Andersson,

I apologize for the behavior of our students, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do to
keep this from happening. The students at Beartown High School are encouraged to express
their thoughts and opinions, as long as they do so in a non-violent manner. Should we forbid the
students from engaging in this, we would be taking Maya’s side in this debate, and we have
decided to remain neutral.

Thank you for your concern, we will be in touch.

Dr. Jones,

This is Mrs. Andersson, Maya Andersson’s mother. I demand to know why my daughter
came home today with the attached picture. Ana told me that somebody posted them
all over the school today and that administration refused to do anything about it. The
boys who put up the picture were gloating about it around school today, and yet none
of the teachers or administration did anything about it.
I don’t want to take measures against the school, but I will if the school refuses to treat
my daughter like a human being and show her basic human decency at the very least.
