Paragraph 1:

- Description of the assessment plan

- problems- suggestions

Paragraph 2:

- No clear purposes for each of the test/ formative or summative.

 assume: summative/ achievement tests

 Q: these tests are to measure how successful the Ss achieve the goals of the course?

Evidence:

 Suggestion: specify the purpose of each test

Paragraph 3:

- Technically: No clear goals/ objectives are presented!

+ Target content: too general, not specific enough

e.g. Mistakes correction is NOT a content

+ Performance level: not clearly illustrated, not provide enough guidance for T to design the test

e.g. How to measure Ss’ ability to understand and apply mistake correction

 the level of representativeness and coverage cannot be inferred from the plan, making it
difficult for T to design the test

 Suggestion: specify

- Mismatch between what is learned and what is assessed (Cà)

+ Target content: example

+ Performance level: claimed: 20% application, but in fact no real application can happen in
MCQs (inappropriate methods)

 Suggestions:

+ Speaking: at least 1 speaking test/ oral test at the beginning of the lesson in which teacher
can quickly assess Ss’ ability to use… (short Qs, …)

+ Include listening task in 45 minute tests
