INTRODUCTION
Unity is coming together for a purpose or a cause. It [sa word for oneness. Since
ancient times, human race is divided into multiple ethnic, lingual, social and religious
groups. This division is a natural output of their habitat, philosophy of life and
intellect. Unity, here, means coming together for the various social processes like
festivals, public gatherings or any kinds of processions or ceremonies.
Unity in all such social activities can be defined as Unity of HUMANITY
Unity of BELIEFS:
Unity of CULTURES
Unity of VALUES
Unity of CUSTOMS
Unity of THOUGHT
Unity of CONCEPT
The concept of unity of humanity is seen in different events and may differ
according to the respective cities. Here is an effort of uniting various thoughts and
beliefs, and designing an outdoor interactive space that becomes the character of
the city. Outdoor spaces should go beyond simple green lawns and predictable
floral borders. Landscaping has a tremendous effect on the overall ambiance of an
‘area and gives visitors an impression of how to approach it, perhaps instilling a sense.
of relaxation.
However landscape is not only about designing spaces but it’s about giving an
emotion that creates a story. Landscape design could be means that can bridge
the gap between our society, space and ecology. Incorporating all these factors
through a sub-conscious design that promotes a feeling of surrendering fo the
surroundings is required to enhance the experience.
OBJECTIVES:
The participants are expected to design a space that can instigate, communicate
‘and subconsciously lead the diverse users to suender their thoughts, concepts,
beliefs and customs for a unified positive purpose. This space requires the user to
express themselves in their true form irrespective of their background. The space
should also commit to peace, tranquility and strength of collective actions,
‘emphasizing on unity.
SITE SELECTION CRITERIA:
* The site fo be chosen should be an open space having an area of approximately
quarter of an acre (3000sq.m.]
* The site should be an integral part of the respective city fabric.

* Designing of the selected space or redesigning an existing space is left to the
participants,
* The ideology behind the design proposal and justification of their concept is
needed.
* Selection of species of trees should be an intrinsic part of the design
EVALUTION CRITERIA:
* Selection of a site, analysis and justification for selection
* Degree of Understanding of the Brief.
* Quality of Communication through representation techniques and attention to
details.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT:
* Maximum 6 numbers of A2 size hand rendered sheets in the form of graphics and
text.
* Authenticating letter from college HOD/Principal/Director (on college Letterhead
with sign and stamp of HOD/Principal/Director of the college], for each entry, that
the work submitted is genuine and they have endorsed copyrights for the same and
with the name of participants and stating the unit shall abide by whatever may be
the final results and also agree that this entry is property of both, the institute and
NASA India.
* Declaration by the participants stating that the work submitted is genuine and that
they have endorsed copyrights for the same and to adhere by alll the rules and
regulations, jury process and the results.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
* Since the submission is in form of hand rendered sheets, only the NASA Logo can be
printed on the sheet.
*All the sheets should have the College stamp on the right hand side bottom corner
on the backside of the sheet, behind the NASA Logo.
*NO 3D projections are allowed on the sheets.
+15 minutes time will be alloted for pin up and 2 delegates per college.
*Any college that does not adhere to the guidelines, shall be disqualified.
*NOTE- Maximum one entry will be accepted per college
NASA LOGO GUIDELINES
* NASA Logo shall always be placed on the right-hand bottom comer of the sheet
with a margin of 10mm from right and bottom of the page.
* NASA logo should not be merged, overlapped etc. with any sort of text, graphic,
image. etc.
* NASA logo should be true black with a perfectly white background.
+ FOR A2 SHEET NASA INDIA LOGO SIZE SHOULD BE 25MM X 43.75MM WITH 10MM
CLEAR BORDER ON ALL 4 SIDES.
