The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of the text. Create an ​adaptation​ of one of the scenes
listed below. ​Select a genre for your adaptation. For example, imagine what ​Romeo and Juliet ​would look like if it were
science-fiction, fantasy, a modern-day highschool drama, a blockbuster movie, a zombie flick, Hollywood drama, etc. The
world’s your oyster! (That phrase is also coined by Shakespeare.)
We will have 3 work-periods for this project; I can supply construction paper, markers, scissors, and glue. Come to class
prepared with any other materials you will need for this project. You will likely need to work on this project outside of
class-time. ​Plan accordingly, as extensions are not possible and late assignments are not accepted.

SCENES FORMAT
The family feud: ​Act 1 Scene 1 Choose one of the following formats for your adaptation.
Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time: ​Act 1 Scene 4 NOTE: Some of these may require extra research
