Accenture had come to my college on the 16th and 17th of

October, 2012. The eligibility criteria was an aggregate of 6 cgpa

(60%) and above with no current arrears.

To start off we had the aptitude test. I had read many reviews on
Indiabix.com before going for the interview and to be honest the
pattern was almost exactly the same as described by others. The
test was conducted online and was for 60mins, consisting of 55
questions with no negative marking.

It had three sections, English, analytic abilities and attention to

detail.

However there was an extra bit - an essay at the end of the

online test.

English - passages were time consuming but the trick was to

search for the matter that was relevant to the question asked
rather than read the entire passage. The same passage appeared
for alternating questions so if you keep reading it again and again
you will be wasting time. Apart from this they asked antonyms,
synonyms and basic grammar.

Analytic section - was mostly questions on Venn diagrams such

as teacher-student questions and other simple questions. No
questions from allegation or streams or trains or anything came.
Cube questions were present such as if a cube is painted and
then cut into x pieces how many pieces will be paint free on all
four sides ...

Attention to detail had general questions such as a set of rules

are given; based on these rules would you give admission to a
student with given set of criteria. One thing about this section is
that towards the end there are a lot of substitution problems
which take lot of time. Best solution would be to solve these first.
eg. if + is / and * is + and / is * then which option is correct

After this, we were given a paper and were asked to write a short
essay in 5 minutes. The topic given to us was "Education in
India".

I was sure of clearing this test and hence wasn't surprised when
my name was called out. After this, we had pre-placement talk
for those who had passed the test.

The next day we had the technical and HR interviews. There were
11 panels for HR and 9 panels for technical.

In technical they asked me about OOPS concepts and concepts

such as operator overloading, function overloading, difference
between string and string buffer and other simple questions.
Some people were asked to write small programs such as
Fibonacci and swapping numbers and some got problems
involving pointers.
After this I was asked to explain my final semester project. Do
not get into technical terms just explain the overview of the
project.

After technical interview, those who did not clear were asked to
leave and the others were taken for the HR round. In HR I was
asked about what I think makes a good team player. Many people
were asked to tell the panel what they knew about Accenture and
its values. Check their site to find out the values and other
details. After this they asked me for my location preference and
then the interviewer asked me if I had any questions. I replied
that the pre-placement talk was very informative and had
answered all my doubts and so I had no questions. This answer
impressed the interviewer. Do not make the mistake of asking
silly questions at this point.

After this, I had to wait till all the interviews were over after
which the list of selected students were called out. Thankfully, my
name was included in the list. We were then informed that an
offer letter would be sent to us within 40 days.

Overall, not much preparation was required but what was

necessary was focus, understanding, a cool mind and confidence
in front of the interviewers.

Hope this helps those of you who are going to attend interviews
in the future. Good luck to all of you.
