Stroke is a medical condition in which poor blood flow to the brain results in cell death. The two
types of stroke are Ischemic, lack of blood flow because of thrombus in blood vessel.
Hemorrhagic, due to bleeding. These type of stroke results in part of the brain not functioning
properly. Face droping, Dizziness, Slurred Speech, in-ability to move or feel one side of body
and etc are symptoms of Stroke. Signs and symptoms frequently show soon after the stroke has
happened. On the off chance that symptoms last short of what a couple of hours it is known as a
transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mini-stroke. A hemorrhagic stroke may likewise be related
with a severe headache. The indications of a stroke can be permanent. Long-term complexities
may incorporate pneumonia or loss of bladder control. Acute Ischemic Stroke can be treated by
following methods: (1)The first line of treatment is a drug known as a thrombolysis.
(2)Thrombectomy is the interventional methodology of removing a blood clot from blood vessel
by using Stent-retriever or by Direct Aspiration method. It is usually performed in interventional
cardiology, interventional radiology & interventional neuroradiology. In stent-retriver method, a
microcatheter with an arrangement of coaxial catheters is placed beyond the blocked portion and
a stent-retriever is deployed to get the clot. At last, the stent is removed from the artery while in
direct aspiration, a long soft lumen catheter is pushed into the clot and applying direct aspiration
to remove the clot.
