The Karate Kid

The Karate Kid is a movie about American boy who was been bullied by other
teenagers.It was written by Robert Mark Kamen and was directed by John G Avildsen.
The cast of Karate kid is compose of Ralph Macchio, which is the main protagonist on
the film played as Daniel LaRusso, Pat Morita played as Mr. Miyagi,Randee Heller as
Lucille Larusso mother of Daniel, Elisabeth Shue played as Ali Mills, William Zabka
played as Johnny one of the main antagonist together with Martin Kove as John
Kreese.Karate Kid was a movie that depicts 90’s theme,it was played mainly on New
Jersey, Reseda, Los Angeles, California, to be specific the story run in the apartment
where Mr. Miyagi , and Daniel met, in a theme park in a school, tournament area, dojo ,
and lastly on the garden of Mr. Miyagi, and beach where Daniel trained for the
competition. The genre of Karate Kid is Action focuses on karate, with a bit of romance.
Karate Kid is all about a typical American boy who migrated because of the
work of his mother. They live at an apartment where Daniel met Mr.Miyagi. Mr. Miyagi
able to know Daniel because he was the one who fixed their faucet, but their friendship
does not limit their. Daniel was courting a girl Ali, when a typical rider saw him and get
jealous because they like same girl, a group of guy lead by Johnny who has a formal
training at karate, give Daniel a series of punch and kick, and this was the start when
Daniel get bullied, and because of this he had this angst to know self defense which is
Karate. It was midnight when the group of friends who was the one who bullies Daniel
ran after him and gave again Daniel a series of punch, and this is where Mr. Miyagi
helped Daniel. After that Mr. Miyagi talk to the sensei of Johnny, that Daniel will fight
with Johnny on a Karate tournament and made promise that they will nit hurt Daniel
before the tournament came. Mr Miyagi taught Daniel Karate in different ways, at first
Daniel does not able to understand what Mr. Miyagi wants, because the training that he
had was just cleaning and waxing car, paints fences, and so on, but after Mr. Miyagi
teaches how he could imply it in defensing himself.
The acting of the protagonist and antagonist is natural , you could see that they
are well knowledgeable, about the proper ways in executing round house kick and other
karate style. The background sound the place where they film and the costume is
appropriate for the film and to the story that they depict.
 To put it on a nutshell the movie shows that in life you should not let other
people to hurt you , and you should fight for your own safety because there is a lot of
people who loves and supports you. As a recommendation, the film should have ratings
in which audience it is suit because as an Asian and as Filipino we are not usually expose
to film which is quit action that is being portrayed by teenager.
 Dekada 70
The “Dekada 70” is a Filipino Film that talks about Marcos regime . It was
directed by Chito S. Roño, written by Lualhati Bautista , and was produced by Tess V.
Fuenetes.. The main actor and actressess of the film is Vilma Santos as Amanda, Piolo
Pascual as Jules, Christopher de leojn as Julian, Danbila Barrios as Jason , Carlos
Agassias Gani, John Wayne Sace as Bingo, Marvin Agustin as Eman, Jhong Hilkario as
Willy, Diumples Romana as Evelyn.It setting was played under the house of a middle
class family and other places such as universities, and common gathering.The theme of
Dekada 70 is more on drama that dwells how Filipino is suffering and cannot voice out
there wants during Marcos regime.
The story falls under Marcos Regime and how family struggle during the time
of Marcos. The story is in line with a family led by their father Julian who is aspiring
politician and chauvinist about the capacity of women in the country.His family together
with his wife Amanda is compose of several persona, one who dreamed to work with
Americans, the other is a playboy guy, and the one that marks the story of the film is
Jules which is an activist which fought in order to voice out the true happenings of the
country. Jules in order to start his journey leaved their house.After a series of extreme
events in their family, like when Evelyn got pregnant with one of the brother of Jules, he
came back with his family to ask helped for his wounded friend and also to inform his
mother about removing all his propaganda and written documents for the safety of their
family, while continuing his movement.
The film was been played very well, they were able to portray what is
happening during those time, using the accuracy of the cloths, place,and other aspect are
appropriate on the achievement of the mission of the film in portraying what is
happening those time on Dekada 70.
In conclusion, the film is impressive, that is why I do recommend that the
producer will remake this film with actors and actresses which is well known and
popular during the current time, because it will enable the youth to ingest the message of
the film.
 The Bad Genius
The Bed Genius is a film directed by Nattawut Poonpiriya. It was first released in
Thailand released on 2017 and produced by Jira Maligool, Chenchonnee
Soonthornsaratul, Vanridee Pongsittisak,Weerachai Yaikwawong, and Suwimon
Techasupian. Bad Genius was written by Nattawut Poonpiriya, Tanida
Hantaweewatana,Vasudhorn Piyaromna. The main cast of the Bad Genius are Chutimon
played as Lynn one of the protagonist of the film,Thaneth father of Lynn, Chono as Bank,
Eisaya as Grace , Terradon as Pat, Eigo as STIC proffesor. The setting of the film is
modern type of school wherein it compose of different kind of student, and different
places that depicts social classes of different people.The genre of the film is crime and
drama.
The bad genius is all about different student with different kind of intelligence and
different kind of standing in the society.Bad genius depicts how intelligent student cheat
on exam they use a hand sign, specifically a stroke on piano.Lynn is a an intelligent
student, who does not have enough capacity to study at prestige university, she uses her
intelligence in order, in order to gain money and to help her father financially, she was
able to send her answer to her affluent classmate and able to earn money.Grace is best
friend of lynn the one she first gave her during exam . Grace has her boyfriend named
as Pat. Pat offers Lynn money, and this was start where bank account of Lynn had a big
number of money
The movie aspect of the film is compelling since they were able to deliver the film
thrilling and with a great concept. They were able to present unusual story. The actors
and actresses where able to act properly, and costume and other aspect may able to
brought audience in the culture of Thailand.
To put it on a nutshell, the story is amazing because it was able to brought a new
concept and new kind of film, with unique storyline and great plot. The film was been
able to show how children or parents will do anything in order to support the needs of
their child. I do recommend that the producer will produce another film that will be
related to the first part of the bad genius , it could another story of how they will be able
to be successful after what happened to them,another recommendation is they should
give an in-depth background about the main character of the film.
