MINI-INTERVIEW: The opinions of the selected few about the chosen aspects of their local community.
NAME DEMOGRAPHY
She claimed that the current
population in the community of
Barangay Agusan has increased
compared to the previous years.
She also stated that in most
cases, the size of a house is not

BELIEFS AND ATTITUDES
The residents who are usually
residing in the area adhere to the
teachings of the Roman Catholic.
Although there are also other
denominations that is present in
the place like the Muslim people,
Born Again Christians and
Jehova’s Witnesses. Mrs. Borden
also said that people are now
critical and participative in getting
to know the leaders who helped in
supervising the management of
the barangay.
One of the best assets Zone-6 can
offer is the celebration of Sinulog
Festival every January. Ms. Eduria
proudly stated that it became a
tradition of the residents to hold
competitions in the basketball
court of the place such as street
dance honoring the patron saint
Sr. Sto.Nino.
Only some people in this area are
actually going to attend Sunday
masses. However she said that we
cannot generalize that majority of

BUSINESSES
As of the moment, she observed that
the people who were just a “tambay”
before have now acquired decent
jobs as laborers in the community.
She added that the businesses in
the community had greatly helped
the residents in finding a job and
better workplaces to support the
needs of every struggling family.
She stated that not all residents here
in the community have decent jobs
and sidelines that will suffice the
needs of every members of the
family.
She stated that some residents have
decent jobs while others don’t. It is
because of lack of education and
laziness to find work.

She claimed that families could
no longer provide a better
shelter to their families because

being influenced by drugs.
According to him, the community
is not progressive because it is
overpopulated and consists of

Just like the others, majority of
which are living here in the place
are Roman Catholics.
There are other religion which
includes Born Again, Jehova’s
Witnesses and Islam.
People are not so religious here.
They just attend mass or any
Eucharistic celebrations in the
community if there’s a food.
Some residents who opted to start a
small business are not also that
successful since their capital comes
from lending services.
Yes, there are many opportunities
laid out for everyone but the problem
is, majority of the residents are “No
read, No write. Therefore they
cannot apply for work or any other
jobs.

Each community has distinct and unique characteristic that makes it stand out among others. Provided with the various aspects or
SUMMARY & structures, residents can certainly identify if there has been any changes and progress within their locality. The opinions voiced out by
PERSONAL the residents are just some of those what the general public is really experiencing. I think that matters like this should be complained
REFLECTION directly to the person who’s more capable to take interventions on the problem rather than keeping it. A community does not only deal
with the physical establishments, but it gives importance to the people who form the social group.
