Running Head: SERVICE LEARNING SUMMARY
Importance of Service
As I was looking for places to start my service, I said to myself “why not complete my
service in a place close to the community where I live?” It would be much more impactful, and it
would mean so much more, if I participate in a place that I have been knowing my whole life.
When I first entered the Library, I was greeted by my service coach and I was told to read

them to check out what they need. The tasks are extremely time consuming, for example, it can
take anyone an hour to shelf a cart of audiobooks alone! I learned to be more appreciative of all
