CHARACTERISTICS
The tucumã is a palm of the coccíneas tribes, of which numerous varieties are found in all the Amazon
basin, in relatively dry lands that the floods do not cover. The comon tucumã (A. vulgare. Mart) is known
by the name of ouara, whose trink rises up to 8 and 10 meters high. Its ovoid fruit, the thickness of a
red-yellow pigeon egg, ripens from December to April, having a very Strong European apricot scent, its
almond produces a translucent viscous oil of pleasant aroma.
The TUCUMA OIL is extracted from the pulp contains 25.6% saturated fatty acids and 74.4% unsaturated
fatty acids, represented by palmitic, stearic, oleic and linoleic fatty acids. The content of the pulp has
the following composition: protein, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamin A, calcium, phosphorus, thiamine,
roboflavin and ascorbic acid. The content of beta carotene in tucumã seeds in more concentrated than
in the pulp, reaching 180 to 330mg / 100g of oil.

PROPERTIES
TUCUMA OIL is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, behaves as an excellent moisturizer being employed in cosmetic
products for skin hydration, body lotions and hair products for damaged hair. It is also an excellent
emollient that has high scattering power.
Only for external use.

INDICATIONS
TUCUMA OIL can be incorporated in creams, creamy and lotions, in shampoos, gels, soaps, face masks,
cleaning lotions and other cosmetic products.

USUAL CONCENTRATION
It indicates 0,1 to 5,0% for cosmetic products in general.
Dermo-cosmetic products for massage: 0,5 to 5,0%.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE


Keep tightly closed in a dry place, protected from light and at temperatures between 15 and 30 0C.
Shelf life 24 months after the date of manufacture.
