Mt. Pinatubo

1. What part of the film had the most impact to you? Why?
The transition of the volcanic erruption from day one and so on beccause as a country which
belongs to the pacific ring of fire, the possibilities are high that those events happened in Mt.
Pinatubo might occur in any moment. The actual footages let me see what are the actual
scenery in a place with volcanic eruption, how it is an undesirable scene, and what
disadvantages it had caused thousands of people.
These footages also alows me to visualize our past lessons which is about planets. I remember
venus as a planet with plenty of volcanoes in its surface, same with the geologic activities that
takes place. If Mt. Pinatubo caused such a huge destruction, what more on Venus?

2. What do you feel after watching the film?

I feel empathetic to the victims and at the same time become afraid that this calamity may
occur to us. The looks on the faces of the victims, the way they are covered in ashes allows pain
to make its way to my heart. It’s as if I was with them when that event happened. Aside from
feeling pity towards them, I also feel afraid to think of witnessing a volcano erupting.
